I was born at Kingsgate, on the Kent coast, in 1965. I moved North with my family to Morecambe in Lancs at an early age, and then to Preston, also in Lancashire, where I went to school and college. I moved to Burnley in 1996, 20 odd miles away, in the Pennine hills, and not far from Pendle Hill, which is infamous for the witches!
